How to install

  1. Open this page on your Android phone and tap the download button.
  2. Open the downloaded file. Android may ask you to allow installs from your browser: allow it for this one install.
  3. Google Play Protect may warn that the app is not from the Play Store. This is expected for a test build. Choose to install anyway.
  4. Open WheelCalm. Practice only when you are parked.

    Limits of this build

    • Payments are not connected yet. The paid steps show a placeholder with prices
    • You can choose a voice, but the voiced audio is not in this build yet
    • Crisis line numbers are still being checked. In an emergency call your local emergency number
    • The build is signed with a test key, so Play Protect may warn you, and it is not the Google Play version

    • Warning on first launch and a short skippable questionnaire: situations, goal, voice, test date
    • 30-second reset: three slow breaths in and out and a short grounding step, started only after you confirm you are parked
    • Trip card: worrying places, safe stops, a plan for a hard moment and a 2-minute check before you leave
    • While you drive the app shows only a Drive safe screen. After you park, rate your anxiety from 0 to 10 for each place
    • Seven ladders of small steps: highways, bridges and tunnels, night, rain, driving alone, after an accident, first solo trips. The first step of each is free
    • Diary after parking with a chart, a countdown to the test day, light and dark theme
    • Settings: voice, test date, crisis contacts and a reminder to see a doctor, delete all data
