Privacy policy
Last updated 2026-10-18
This policy explains what personal data the WheelCalm website (wheelcalm.com) collects and how we use it. The website is operated by Dynamic Flower, Lda. ("we", "us"), which is the controller of the personal data described here. You can reach us at [email protected].
What we collect, and why
If you write to us
When you use the contact form we receive your name, email address, the topic you choose and your message. We use them only to answer you. We save the message in our database and send a copy to our support mailbox. We also send you an automatic confirmation. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering you (and, if you ask us something before using a service, taking steps at your request). We keep contact messages for up to 12 months, then delete them. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.
The human check on the form
The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from bots. Turnstile may process technical data from your browser and your IP address for this purpose. Our legitimate interest is keeping the form free of spam.
Server logs
Like any website, our server records standard technical data about each request (such as IP address, time, page and browser type). We use it to keep the site secure and working, and we keep it for a short time.
The free tools
The tools on this site (the step ladder, trip planner, test day plan and 30-second reset) work in your browser. What you enter, such as ratings, notes and dates, is saved only in your browser's local storage on your device. It is not sent to us. Clearing your browser data deletes it.
Cookies and similar storage
The site stores the following in your browser:
- Theme choice (light or dark), in local storage, so the site looks the way you picked. Essential.
- Tool progress, in local storage, so your ladder, plan and ticks are still there next time. Essential. It is never sent to us.
- Your cookie choice, in local storage, if you are asked for one. Essential.
- Analytics: we use Google Analytics 4 (Google) to count visits and see which guides and tools help, so we can improve them. It sets cookies named
_gaand_ga_...and sends usage data (such as the pages you view, your approximate location, device and browser, and an online identifier) to Google. In the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland it runs only if you allow it in the cookie bar. Elsewhere it runs by default, and you can block it with your browser or an extension.
We do not use advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time with the cookie settings link at the bottom of the page. You can also delete cookies in your browser. Google explains how it uses data in its own privacy policy.
Who handles data for us
- Cloudflare: DNS, network protection, and the Turnstile human check.
- Google: Google Analytics, described above.
- Brevo: sends the emails from the contact form (our notification and your confirmation).
- Our hosting server: stores the site, its database and logs.
These providers process data on our behalf. Some may process data outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens we rely on the safeguards the provider offers, such as standard contractual clauses. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or stop using it, or send it to you in a portable form. You can object to our use of your data that rests on legitimate interest. Write to [email protected] and we will answer. If you think we handled your data wrongly, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
The WheelCalm app
The WheelCalm app is not released yet. It will have its own privacy notice. It is designed to work without an account and to keep what you enter on your phone.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. For important changes we will say so on the site.
WheelCalm is not a medical service. The guides and tools are for practice and preparation and are not medical advice.
